Hey, Got So rapped up in Chicago, that i might have forgotten to fill this in... :) Chicago- what a great City, where to begin... OK, so the sessions with Lenny were awesome- Got to work in Bill "People are still having sex" Latours studio... due to a little technical difficulty, I ended up engineering and producing the whole session (well with the ears of Harry and Bill of cores). What an amazing experience- if you would of told me ahead of time that I would be doing this- I would of panicked... It's funny how we as humans respond to situations when we are faced with obstacles- you just make it happen- I don't know, hard to explain- but anyway enough philosophical blah, that's all I’m gonna say about this session right now as I am in the middle of the "Lenny" track for the album, and don't want to Jinx it- but I'll keep Ya posted...
Lenny- What can I say, just so kool to work with him. A super kool kid, and a fricken hard worker who won't accept "good enough." Like Harry, I am blessed that Lenny has entered the KC circle (aka- KC LAND) as I learn so much off this guy, and Harry, Lenny & myself have such good times and allot of laughs working together- it's just awesome :)... Although I do have to say it was challenging to take a Broadway voice and make him sing more "pop"- I know by the end of the session- umm how to say, he might of been a TAD frustrated with me :)- MAYBE!
Oh you didn't hear it from me- but keep your eyes opened for Lenny in an off Broadway show in the next few months...
I was totally privileged the next day to spend a full night in Latours studio. Just Me, Bill & Chinese food & of course Corona... working on a track called ARPMO which Bill has stepped up to co-produce with me (it will sound nothing like the snippet on my site right now)- Bill is TOTALLY bringing Justice to this track which is in it's 20th rewrite!!
Bill You are ONE AWESOME KAT- thanks for the hospitality, & I can't wait to see what our heads put together! Dude, Bills got So many Melodies in his little head that I can SO see us putting our heads together for another track or 4!!!
Gotta Say though, my Favorite part of the whole Chicago experience (more so then seeing the Sears tower or eating a Chicago style hot dog that had half a fricken dill pickle in it & NO ketchup) was the night Harry took me to a Jazz Club called "
The Green Mill" (made famous by jazz musicians & Al Capone). We watched this sax player named
Frank Catalano scream on his sax with a stellar band behind him for over an hour... I love live jazz & hanging with my bro drinking some Grey Goose & feeling the music- was just... what more could I ask for!! OH WELL I GUESS to top that off, Harry will "officially" be joining THe KC (that's me) for the remainder of my album project (insert screams from groupies here)!!! THEN, after all this excitement- we went and ate some great Burritos- isn't it weird the way all food tastes like the best thing you have ever had after a night of bevy’s! :)
